fearless defenders is fanservice in the way that mcu!natasha was fanservice in the way that all women are fanservice because why do we bother to pretend that we have stories when really we’re here to be oggled and shoved aside
Let’s talk about this still from the movie trailer, okay?
We hear in the voice-over that Tony can’t sleep. He’s seen things. Everything’s changed since New York.
Look at the armor pieces strewn about. Constant tinkering.
More importantly look at the high-powered telescope pointed towards the stars.
Tony Stark saw things when he went into space: Wondrous things. Horrible things.
He became death in that moment too and delivered a nuclear warhead into what was essentially enemy space, something he never wanted to do, something his father did.
He’s looking. He’s watching. He’s waiting. He wants to learn and be prepared. It must be agonizing for a futurist.
Oh my god. Sometimes I write horrible things at 4AM. I’m so sorry.
I can’t believe that the Joplin mosque was burned to the ground. Some prayer rugs didn’t just get burned, we didn’t lose a few Qur’ans. The whole masjid was razed.
Someone came to the Joplin mosque last night at 3:30 am with the intention of wiping it off the map. The loss would be felt even if this was an accident, but we know that the pain is magnified under these hateful and bigoted conditions. During our most holy month, the Islamic community of America has lost a place to pray and a place of peace. But what these arsonists don’t understand is that the real mosques and the foundations of Islam are not in mortar or brick, but wherever the believers are. The foundation of Islam is in over one billion people in this world, in every state, country and language. You might be able to get rid of a mosque, but you can’t get rid of Islam.
”But since we are people of faith we just can remember that this is a thing that happened because God let it happen, and we have to be patient, particularly in the month of Ramadan, control our emotions, our anger.” - Imam Lahmuddin of the Joplin Mosque
Because things THIS BADASS must be shared with as many people as possible!

After a standalone film for Black Widow has been confirmed post “The Avengers”, lead actress Scarlett Johansson says it will be a prequel.
The 27-year-old actress, who played the gun-wielding hero in the film, said she and Marvel Studios have ‘spoken a lot’ about developing a film that follows the heroine’s origin in Russia, reported Ace Showbiz.
“I love her origin story. I think it’s just such a riveting one. It’s just steeped in history and the richness to shoot in Russia, perhaps… I hope that the fans’ voice is loud enough and they want to see a Widow origin story, I know Marvel would be happy to entertain that. We’ve spoken a lot about it,” she said.
Johansson also dished on what is the difference between playing Natasha Romanoff in “Iron Man 2” and “Avengers”.
“In ‘Avengers’ you see a little bit about how Natasha joined and it’s not that she’s fighting for the greater good of humanity. She was almost salvaged by SHIELD and so she’s loyal to that group, to that agency, but only as sort of paid debt,” she added.
Guys. Guys.
